The Developer
Bridgewater Quay is being developed by John Hay who brings with him more than 40 years’ experience of developing property around the world.
Originally from Wellington, John developed residential subdivisions, built project housing and motels in New Zealand before undertaking developments in Australia, Canada and the USA.
In Queensland and Western Australia, John’s property development work included apartment buildings, residential subdivisions, commercial and industrial developments and 3 award-winning waterfront resorts. John also undertook the restoration of 3 major historic buildings at his own expense including an historic school, a Victorian hotel and an Outback Australian Homestead complete with its own blacksmith shop.
In North America, John was involved in three major land developments in Florida as well as housing projects in Portland and Seattle. He also developed hundreds of apartments in Vancouver.
Back home in New Zealand, John is drawing upon his extensive experience to create Bridgewater Quay.
